So recently I watched a documentary about Jim Morrison called "No One Here gets Out Alive" and everybody in that video said that Jim constantly lived life on the edge. I some how got inspired by this because I am not one who lives on the edge but who wants to live there. So while Jim may sometimes have lived it dangerously i will live on the edge but with good intentions. When i feel like doing something that people may not like i'll just do it. And so comes my poem Thank You Jim

Thank You Jim

I’ve lived almost my entire life

On the outskirts of this portion of town

As far away from the edge as possible

But recently I saw a documentary

About Jim Morrison

And like a preacher or a Shaman in Jim’s case

He spoke to me quite clearly

And I’ve decided that I no longer want

To live in this small comfortable home

On the outskirts of town

I am ready to live on the Edge

Thank you Lizard King for inspiring me to take this first step

Thank you for living your life on the edge ALL the time

I am ready to face everything that comes at me head on

I don’t regret living the way I have so far

Perhaps, like a hero from many stories

This life has been my right of passage

And I have finally made it through

The first set of tests

I have finally come to

Beast that I must slay

I don’t know weather I’ll be able to keep this attitude

I just need to strap it to my knee and walk through town

With my shoulders straight
